So, I thought about different ways to create this thread, and decided to post pictures of the main characters from different versions of Alice in Wonderland. There have been quite a few different takes on it over the years, so I was wondering which version's character you like best! Some of you may not have seen Syfy's Alice, and of course none of us have seen Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, but I decided to post them anyway, since some might like the character design best. So, here we go! Alice:Mad Hatter:Queen of Hearts:Cheshire Cat:I couldn't find a picture of the Cheshire Cat for the Syfy Alice because he played a very small role. But, I picked these four characters since they tend to be the most memorable from the story. I will probably also add the March Hare once I have a bit more time (it's surprising how long it takes to find all of these pictures, resize them, and host them. haha!). I also posted them all in order of release date. So, it goes: Book version, Disney, 1999 film, Syfy Alice, and Burton Alice in Wonderland.

For the cheshire cat, I think Burton's version looks really cool. So I'll have to go with that one. But as far as the actual character, I like the Disney version since I haven't seen Syfy's version or Burton's. I really like Burton's queen, too, but the queen in the disney version was really funny. The hatter is hard... Obviously the syfy's version is really cute, I like his look, but the Disney version is so silly. And of course Burton's is more creepy lol. And as for Alice I like the disney version just because that's how I picture alice whenever someone mentions alice in wonderland.

Yeah it's kind of hard to really say since I haven't seen the Burton version yet. I really liked Alice in the Syfy version because she was pretty bad ass. haha! But like you said, whenever I think of Alice in Wonderland, I usually picture the Disney Alice. She was cute, but not too cute.
Syfy Hatter, hands DOWN! XD Not even just because he was attractive, but also because of how he approached the character. There were moments where you'd be like, oh that is so the Mad Hatter! But it was also a completely different take on him, which I really liked.
As for the Queen... hm. I really liked the Disney Queen because she was so funny, but from the trailers of Burton's Alice in Wonderland, Helana looks like she's going to do an awesome job! And like you said, I really like her design, so for now I'm going to go with Burton's Queen.
The Cheshire Cat. One of my favorite characters. The Disney one was just so funny, and it was what made me like the character so much! The Burton one looks wicked cute and cool too, and the newest trailer shows him speaking, so it looks like the character is going to be good. But I'll have to go with Disney, he'll always be my favorite.

You don't have pictures of my favorite Alice, Hatter, Red Queen and Cheshire Cat from Adventures in Wonderland (1991-1995). Here are my pictures of the four characters you pictured: Alice: Hatter: Red Queen: The Cheshire Cat:

I have to go with the Disney version of Alice. Kathryn Beaumont did such a fantastic job with the character. For me, she is Alice.
As far as the Mad Hatter goes, I have to go with the Disney version. Ed Wynn was hilarious as the Mad Hatter, especially when he remarked about the mustard.
The book version of the Queen of Hearts is my favorite. As much as I enjoyed the Disney version, I always thought she was a little too over-the-top and crazy. The book's version was a more interesting character.
I think the Disney version of the Cheshire Cat was the best. His huge, mischievous grin and his bizarre personality combined with the fact that he's voiced by Sterling Holloway makes him my favorite version of the character.
