So, just recently the Syfy channel did its own take on Alice in Wonderland. It was split up in a two part mini series, and I missed some parts, and it was kind of an involved plot, so I'm not entirely clear on what went on. lol BUT... one thing I do know ((please prepare for a major fangirl moment)) is that the Mad Hatter, played by Andrew Lee Potts, is absolutely delicious! Oh my gosh, the moment he came on the screen I like... shrieked with joy! XD He definitely brought some sex appeal to the Mad Hatter, instead of insanity or cookiness, which I very much appreciated. The guy who played the White Knight was great as well! Not as in attractive, but he was hilarious! Great comic relief. Anywhoo... it's probably going to be released on DVD eventually, other than that I believe it will be repeated on Syfy, or eventually uploaded to Youtube. Either way, I definitely recommend it! Here's a little trailer for it:

I finally think I understand the story line! And it's actually pretty cool.
Ok, so, basically the Queen of Hearts runs all of Wonderland, and the economy is based on the selling of "tea." But, the tea is actually emotions drained from the "oysters." The oysters are us, the people who come from the 'real world.' The bad guys who work for the Queen are called Suits, and they're the ones who travel between the worlds to collect "oysters" to drain them of emotions.
Only good emotions though. The Queen doesn't want to feel the bad. Soooo Hatter runs a 'tea shop' and sells the the emotions to the people of Wonderland. BUT he doesn't support the Queen, he's apart of a thing called the Resistance, to overthrow her terrible economy. So, he's sort of playing both sides of the fence.
Anyway, Alice is dating Jack Heart, who she believes is Jack Chase, but he's the son of the Queen, and is in love with Alice in her world, so he lies. Then he gives her a ring (which turns out to be the stone of Wonderland, the thing that controls the Looking Glass, the portal between the two worlds) but she refuses it, because she thinks their relationship is moving too fast.
But then the Suits come to get Jack, because he stole the ring from his mother, so she sent them to get him to get it back. So, Alice chases after them and accidentally falls through the looking glass into Wonderland. And that's how the story begins and basically goes.
But yeah, the first time I saw it on TV I was all confused because I turned it on during the second part, since it's a miniseries. So, I was like, WTH is going on?? haha! But after watching it the whole way through it makes sense now. Definitely a really cool idea, probably one of my favorite movies.
And Hatter.... don't get me started. HAHA! He's played by Andrew Lee Potts, who is a beast. He has the most amazing accent, I adore it. And his hair... I love messy/bed hair on guys for some reason. You SOOOOO need to see it, it's amazing. Not only is Hatter hott, but his mannerisms and everything make him even more amazing.
OH EM GEE! Sorry, I am such a spaz. But, I found this video on Youtube, and it made my day... probably rest of my week. haha!

Haha that video was so cute. :] Awww I can't wait to watch it now!! Did you tape it or did you just see it when it was on TV?

It's really interesting. It's also wicked cool how they incooperate all of the original characters. Some of them are sort of hidden, so, it's exciting when you discover them. Like, my second time watching it, I realized this guy who works for Hatter is named Dormie, and he always falls asleep. And then I'm like, OHEMGEE, that's supposed to be the Dormouse! haha! And it's like that throughout the show which is really cool.
The acting is good too, as are most of the special effects. I definitely reccommend it. And I also think that we should watch it together when I come. Ok? Yes, and we can squeal over how delicious Hatter is. XD
I wish I had taped it. :[ Like I said, when I discovered it was on it was the second half, and I didn't even know if I'd like it. But then I obviously did, and I was like, ugh DAMN I missed the first half! So I ended up finding the whole thing on Youtube and watching it there. Then it was repeated on the Syfy channel the next night, but again, I caught it at the second part. So not cool.
It's supposed to be released on DVD in March (how convenient, that's when Burton's Alice in Wonderland comes out too!). But when I tried to look up when it's going to be aired again, it didn't come up. :[ So I'm not sure if Syfy is going to play it again.

Um no. You cannot wait until March to see this because I am going to be fangirling left and right and you will have no idea what I am talking about. lol! So, we will watch it on Youtube when I come in 13 days!! So pumped man! XD
I have been watching these fanmade videos of Alice and Hatter on Youtube, and there are SO many! It's insanity. But I mean, how could you resist? They are such an adorable couple! I really wish they would make a sequel.

I think we should watch it Wednesday night so you don't have to be tormented any longer of your lack of Hatter footage. XD Although, actually watching the movie is slightly torturous since he's so flipping adorable. His accent is to die forrr!
And Andrew Lee Potts does exist. So, I say we find him! No, just kidding, that'd be creepy. haha! Instead we can travel to Britain and find our own Hatters!

I've seen a couple times on Space. I'm a big fan of Caterina Scorsone who plays Alice. Andrew Lee Potts who plays Hatter plays on another show that plays on Space called Primeval.
